About utili.dev

Built for developers and everyday problem-solvers who value speed, privacy, and simplicity.

What is utili.dev?

DevUtils is a collection of free developer tools built to save you the small-but-annoying moments in your day: copying a JSON blob into a formatter tab, finding a regex tester that doesn't send your patterns to a server, comparing two config files without uploading them to a third-party service.

Every tool on DevUtils runs entirely in your browser. JSON you paste, regexes you write, text you compare — none of it is ever sent to a server. We believe developer data is sensitive by default: API responses might contain tokens, config files might contain secrets, and regex test strings might contain customer data.

Why we built it

The best tools are the ones that get out of the way. We got tired of tools that required sign-ups to use basic features, uploaded your data to a server 'for processing,' showed ads inside the tool's working area, or had so much UI chrome that finding the actual input field took five seconds.

utili.dev was built with three non-negotiable principles: everything runs in the browser (no server uploads), the tool area is completely ad-free (ads are only in the surrounding chrome), and there is no account required for any feature.

Who it's for

DevUtils is for software engineers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, QA engineers, and anyone else who works with code and data day-to-day. The tools are intentionally simple and focused — one tool, one job, done well. No feature creep, no bloat, no 'premium' features behind a paywall.

We also write educational content alongside each tool so beginners can learn not just how to use the tool but why the underlying concept works the way it does. JSON formatting and validation, regex patterns, text diff algorithms — understanding these fundamentals makes you a better engineer.

Our privacy commitment

All tool processing is client-side. Zero data is transmitted to any server when you use a tool. We collect only anonymous page view statistics through Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first analytics provider that uses no cookies and collects no personal data.

We display ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google's Ads Settings page. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
